Changes in the Management Group: new COO and CMO

Absortech has appointed Joakim Carlsson as the new Chief Operating Officer at Absortech Group.

Joakim is 40 years old and lives in Falkenberg. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Quality and has a solid background that includes experience as product manager for port equipment and extensive knowledge in Quality Management.

His experience will bring a lot of value to Absortech. He will drive R&D projects and will manage the entire Supply Chain, among other important tasks.

Joakim will take up the appointment as COO on April 20, 2020.

Absortech has also promoted Elsa Jiménez to Chief Marketing Officer. Elsa, who comes from Barcelona and also lives in Falkenberg, joined Absortech in 2018 as Global Marketing Manager. She has been responsible for marketing strategy in the organization since then, increasing the global digital presence of the company and planning and executing campaigns to promote Absortech products and services and improve the knowledge about moisture damage prevention worldwide.

Being responsible for the marketing of such an outstanding offering is a fantastic opportunity. Being promoted shows me how important is becoming marketing for the company as one of the keys to grow and strengthen our business and our position in the international market in the following years.”

Elsa has studied Marketing and Market Research and holds a diploma in Graphic & Editorial Design. Besides, she has completed her competences with specific professional courses in growth hacking, e-mail marketing and SEO/SEM, among others.

Elsa was appointed as CMO on January 1, 2020.

Both Elsa and Joakim will join the Absortech Executive Team, together with Anders Olofsson, CFO, and Rikard Kanmert, CEO.
