In-box desiccants are mainly used to protect the goods from inside a cardboard box or a polybag. Typical applications are garments and shoes, but also components of metal, spare parts etc. Often used as a compliment or replacement to VCI bags. AbsorGel Pouches are available in different types. The active ingredient is calcium chloride, which has a superior ability to absorb moisture from the surrounding air. Friendly on the environment and on those who use our products.

AbsorGel® Pouch HIP

AbsorGel® Pouch HIP is effective in controlling moisture inside of crates, cartons and other types of packaging to prevent mold, fungus, rust and other moisture related damages.

Calcium chloride absorbs moisture over 6 times more than traditional in-box desiccants. The absorbed water is bound into a gel so that no liquid water is formed.

Main specifications

Made of a single layer of permeable material. With a built-in humidity indicator showing when the desiccant has been saturated and should be exchanged. Absorbing agent is calcium chloride (CaCl2) mixed with starch. The calcium chloride absorbs moisture from the surrounding air passing in through its breathable packaging material. The adhesive gel ensures absorbed moisture stays in the product.

AbsorGel Pouch HIP is a single-use product and can be disposed as regular waste. The calcium chloride and starch are non-toxic and the polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plastics are recyclable. AbsorGel Pouches contains less PE-plastic than before. Available in sizes: 2, 100 grams.
